You enter your airport of departure and arrival airport, as well as your travel dates and the sites come up with a list of the best details currently being offered. Flights to New York will land at one of three airports: JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Newark Airport. Finding your way to the city centre from any of these airports is not difficult. LaGuardia and JFK are both located in the borough of Queens which is closer to Manhattan than Newark which is situated in the adjacent state of New Jersey. Travel to and from Newark is therefore more expensive than travel from the other two airports.
There are a number of ways to travel from airports to the city. If you are willing to pay for comfort and speed, the Supershuttle Manhattan costs between $15 and $22 and is one of the quickest ways to get to the city centre. Limousine services such as Super Saver by Carmel also run between the city and all airports, as do various taxi services. The New York Airport Express Bus Service costs between $10 and $12 and can be caught from both Laguardia and JFK. If you are travelling from Newark, you can travel via the Olympia Airport Express which costs approximately the same amount.
If you are on a tight budget, ordinary Metro buses can also be caught from JFK and LaGuardia at a cost of just $2. Triboro Buses also operate from LaGuardia, with fares costing between $1 and $2. Keep in mind the fact that few bus and shuttle services operate after 12pm, so if you know you are going to be landing in the early hours of the morning it might be a good idea to book a taxi or car in advance.
