Yet, the recent advent of a paved road to the villa mean it’s now only a 25 minute drive away from the nearest shops, beaches and tourist facilities. Frantic Benidorm, which boasts every conceivable form of entertainment including a huge water park and the Disney-style Terra Mitica theme park, is just 45 minutes drive away. And Alicante’s international airport, which has numerous cheap charter flights serving the UK and many other major European destinations, is only one hour 15 minutes drive south.
