If you prefer walking, there are 12 miles of oceanfront trails to discover on foot. Hiking is a much-loved vacation activity as it allows you to roam the surrounding at your own pace and leisure. The other option is of course the lavish of the three, but sometimes you should spoil yourself. There are unforgettable hour helicopter tours of Oahu from The Turtle Bay Resort. Fly along the Windward Coast to the magnificent Sacred Falls, over the majestic rainforests and past some major tourist attractions including, Koko Head, Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, the Waianae Coast and finishing along the famous North Shore surf breaks.
The North Shore is the " Mecca " of Hawaiian surfing, and although The Turtle Bay Resort does not usually attract the surfing crowd, it is a great base for giving those waves a bash. If you have never surfed then here is the perfect place to learn. The resort offers a surf school that provides lessons, all equipments and a lot of patience to up and coming surfers.
The kids are always entertainment with all the supervised activities provided by Keiki Turtle Kids Club. These include swimming, reef walks, pole fishing, night sand crab hunts, campfires and arts and crafts.
