Parasailing on Oahu - Company Reviews
Things to do > Parasailing - More in this category > Fishing > Hiking > Island Tours > SCUBA Diving > Shopping > Snorkeling > SurfingParasailing is one of many exciting activities on Oahu. Imagine soaring high above the earth, free as a bird watching the world beneath. The activity is a combination of parachuting, hang gliding and water-skiing. If you haven't tried it, then Oahu offers the perfect opportunity. You'll be strapped to a parachute, attached by a long tether to a speed boat, and take off into the perfect Oahu skies. You can take in the awesome sights of Diamond Head and Waikiki as you cruise hundreds of feet above the beautiful blue ocean.

It's so quiet and peaceful up here you almost forget you're being towed by a boat and floating somewhere between 300 and 800 feet above the ocean. The views are magnificent. You are high enough to see the surrounding areas, yet close enough to witness the details that sky-diving does not offer. Wave to your family back on the beach or look out for a pod of dolphins that regularly frequents that spot.
Parasailing lovers describe the experience: If you want the thrill of skydiving with longer hang time, this ride is for you.
The hi-tech winch boats provide dry takeoffs and landings. Rather then chairs, all operators on Oahu use harnesses. A harness is flexible, comfortable, and also allows for a better view. The ride is designed for just about everyone and most operators can take two people up at the same time. After a certain amount of time you may be dropped in a manoeuvre that resembles a parachute descent. Take this opportunity to splash your toes in the water before you are yanked back up into the air.
