The Main Terminal encompasses the majority of the Airport and services all international and domestic flights. Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines use the Inter-Island terminal for flights to and from Oahu's neighboring Islands.

Hundreds of passenger disembarking from numerous flights are greeted with the Traditional Hawaiian "Aloha" and presented with a Lei - the definitive icon of Hawaii. These beautiful necklaces of tropical flowers traditionally express love, reverent, respect congratulations and welcome. This welcome is sure to set the festive mood for your holiday.

There are no longer luggage storage facilities available at Hononlulu International Airport. Consider the services of www.honolulubaggagestorage.com should you need this service.

The easiest way to get from the airport to your destination is to rent a car. This service is readily available at the airport's main terminal. Many hotels in Honolulu provide an airport pick up shuttle service for their patrons. Taxi's and private shuttle companies are another alternative to getting to and from the airport. However, if arriving late at night, it is important to have pre arranged transport, as taxis can be hard to come by.

On the way home, be sure to stop and shop Hawaiian style for the last time. Honolulu International Airport boasts a variety of restaurants and shops to keep you busy and entertained as you wait for your departure. Check out the Duty Free stores for those last minute gifts or sip a cocktail as you reminisce about your holiday in paradise.

To make your time at the airport as pleasant as possible, most airlines provide First Class or transit lounges for a chance to relax and unwind before your flight. Honolulu International also has a beautiful garden area for a quiet walk or a last chance to tan before heading home.

There are two, smaller airports on Oahu :

Dillingham Airfield (HDH): This is a small airfield located on the north shore of Oahu. Air traffic is limited to light aircraft such as charter planes. It is generally used for recreation such as sky diving and hang-gliding.

Kalaeloa Airport (JRF): This airfield was formerly a naval air station and is today a general aviation facility at Barbers Point.
