Molokai's Restaurants and Cafés
When it comes to Molokai restaurants, do not expect anything too out of this world. The island is can be described as an untouched outdoor lover's paradise, so as you can imagine being high on the list for culinary attractions is of little concern.

The restaurants are few and far between and those that do exist are relatively simple with the Polynesian twist we have come to expect. Surprisingly, the majority of large food chains have no presence on the island - it seems that maybe even this aspect of Molokai's island life is following down the eco-tourism route.
The Main Hub of Kaunakakai
If you are looking for a place to eat then this is the best place you will have of finding one. Very few are suited to catering for a "classy" dinner, with most meant to be quick "eat-and-goes."
Your best bet would probably be the dinning room at the Hotel Molokai (808-553-5347) which comes complete with island torches, lit pool area and even an ocean view. Lunch servings are characteristically light and are comprised of salads, baguettes and sandwiches. Dinners are a lot more bountiful, with a selection of red meats, ribs, fresh fish and pasta dishes. If its good food you are looking for then this Molokai restaurant is top notch!
If you are looking for traditional takeout, grease and all, then welcome to the Molokai Drive Inn (808-553-5655). Open early till 10pm the Drive In serves favorites such as, ahi, mackerel and honey-fried chicken - as well as milkshakes and floats. If you want cheap, cheerful, fast and definitely filling, then you have found the right place.
The other Kaunakakai restaurants have a similar informal approach. Although it has very few frills about it, the Sundown Deli (808-553-3713) provides a far healthier menu (it even sells vitamin supplements - how much more convincing do you need!). Some of the favorites on the menu include spinach pie, quiche, vegetarian lasagne, salads and health sandwiches. Another one of the more health orientated Molokai restaurants is Kanemitsu's Bakery & Restaurant (808-553-5855) which serves a variety of savory and sweet breads, sandwiches and mahi burgers. I suppose a large number of you are asking "what about the pizza?" Have no fear The Molokai Pizza Café (808-553-3288) is it hand, and if pizza isn't your cup of tea then why not try their range of subs, pastas and pies.
The West End and Kualapuu
Of all Molokai's restaurants the most formal can be found at the Sheraton Molokai Lodge and is called the Maunaloa Dinning Room. Just under half an hour away from Kaunakakai, this restaurant takes on the ranch-house feel that runs through the entire lodge. The menu holds temptations such as snapper, prawns and other fresh seafood, as well as a host of red and white meats served with host of side dishes of vegetables. Kualapuu is the home to the Kualapuu Cook House / Kamuela's Kitchen which is a local family favorite when it comes to takeout. Pancakes, eggs, omelets burgers and sandwiches grace the menu - a great place to stop for some real soul food! You can find the former farm house on Farrington highway.
