People opt for a resort over other forms of accommodation because of all the convenient little extras they provide - we are talking direct beach access, cabanas, spa and fitness centers, and even stylish private pool areas. This page gives a brief overview of the more popular Molokai resorts.
Resorts near Kaunakakai
The Molokai Shores Suites (808-553-5954) is the only resort close to this town (just 2 miles out) and is made up a number of simply furnished one or two bedroom condominiums. The Shores has its own beach area which hosts a number of water activities including kayaking, swimming and fishing. For those non-water babies guests have shuffleboard and a small putting green at their disposal. As the sunsets why not make your way out onto your own private lanai or down to one of the barbeque areas! If you would like to know more click here - Molokai Shores Suites
West Side Resorts
Ke Nani Kai Resort (808-552-2761) is home to nearly 120 condos located close to Kepuchi Beach. All the units are self contained and are loaded with a number of convenient features - VCRs, fully fitted kitchen, washing machine and tumble dryer, and also maid service. The fist thing that many guests notice is the abundance of space. Combine this with all the fitted features and you have the perfect family resort. Not leaving out the grounds, this resort has an impressive pool, tennis courts and is close to the Kaluakoi Golf Course.
Paniolo Hale (808-552-2288) is one of Molokai's more affordable condo resorts that are decorated in the typical old Hawaiian "paniolo" style complete with screened lanais and old oak floors. Each unit has a fully useable kitchen, laundry facilities and as much space as you could ask for. This two story complex also borders the Kaluakoi Golf Course and is just a hop, a skip and a jump away from Kepuchi Beach. If you would like to know more click here - Paniolo Hale
Sheraton Molokai Lodge can be found nestling on the grounds of 53000 acre Molokai Ranch. This resort is slightly more inland than you would expect (25mins from the beach) but is conveniently located in the small settlement of Maunaloa. Guests have a choice between both "luxury" and "deluxe" rooms - we should probably say now that this is the priciest place to stay on the Island. Top-class dinning, spa, heated pool, beach pavilion all come as part of the experience. To read more please click here - Sheraton Molokai Lodge .
Please note: The Kaluakoi Resort has been subjected to a change in management several times in the past so it is probable that this could occur again some time in the future. Such a change may affect some of the facilities / services described here.
