Molokai Airport Information
This little island is home to two airports. The Molokai Airport that many visitors will fly into is the one based just outside of Hoolehua and only a few miles from the island's main city of Kaunakakai.
Very small; this airport is sited on just under 290 acres and at present holds only two runways that are used primarily used by commercial airlines and some military aviation activities.

To date the following airlines operate our of this Molokai airport:
- Island Air: This is the main inter-island flight operator with regular flights between Molokai and Maui's Kahului and Oahu's Honolulu. Flights to the mainland can be caught from Honolulu International Airport. For a schedule of flights please visit www.islandair.com.
- Hawaiian Airlines: This operator has recently unveiled its route to Lanai, which is travelled once everyday. Please call 808-565-6977 for further information.
- Pacific Wings: This little company offers one flight a day to Honolulu and Kahului. Charter flights to the island of Lanai are also available. If you would like further details please visit www.pacificwings.com.
Access to this primary Molokai Airport can be obtained from Keonelele Avenue. The airport's facilities are by no means anything spectacular; with only a small "snack" bar which sells cold drinks and few little bits and pieces to keep those hunger pangs away. No further development is scheduled for the foreseeable future. Car rental stands can be found in the immediate terminal. Visitors should be aware that there are no taxi services on the island, although some hotels and resorts do have an airport shuttle in service
If you are looking for an alternative mode of transport, then why not find out more about the ferry that runs between Maui and Molokai? To find out where this ferry leaves from and the current departure/ arrival timetable - click here.
The second airport on the island is Kalaupapa Airport which is about a fifth of the size of the one just outside of Hoolehua. With just one runway on its 55 acres it is primarily used by cargo operators and one or two charter companies. Many visitors are usually surprised when they cannot see any visible control tower - that's because there isn't one, the airport's size just doesn't warrant one.
