Mexico's Villas - Holiday Rental
Mexico villa rentals are becoming more and more popular as people look towards finding accommodation that is both private and exclusive. Mexico, with its immaculate beaches and beautiful landscape, is filled with luxury villas, the majority of which are situated in both popular and serene coastal towns.
The main advantage to renting a villa in Mexico lies in the fact that you can relax in the privacy of a place that feels more like a home than a hotel. For those planning an extended stay in Mexico, renting a villa also means that you don't have to eat out at a restaurant every night, but can enjoy a quiet night in every now and then as well. As a general rule, villa rentals are more common in well-known destinations such as Cancun, Cabo San Lucus in Baja California, Puerta Vallarta and Acapulco. It is here that you are more likely to find agencies specializing in villa rentals. If you are looking to rent a villa in one of the quieter spots around Mexico, you may need to search for a little longer to find what you are looking for.
The cost of a villa depends on precisely what it is that you are looking for. As a general rule, the closer to the beach that a villa is and the more amenities it includes, the more you can expect to pay for accommodation. Almost all deluxe villas in Mexico are beautifully decorated and have sea views, swimming pools and well-groomed tropical gardens. Most also have televisions, a long list of appliances and are serviced on a daily basis. Depending on the time of year, villa rental prices usually start at around $400.
If it's extravagance that you're looking for, you could always throw caution to the wind and rent a private mansion. Companies such as Cabo San Lucas Villas and Vallarta Villas specialize in renting villas that are nothing short of remarkable. Top of the range villas usually feature four or five bedrooms that are impeccably decorated with imported fabrics and expensive antiques. Plush furnishings, Mexican artworks and traditional sculptures are the kind of things that come standard in villas such as these. In addition, nearly all are equipped with large oceanfront patios complete with ocean-style pools and Jacuzzis.
The house and garden will be kept in perfect condition by friendly staff and groundskeepers and your palette will be excited by exotic dishes cooked by a talented chef. Chauffeurs and tour guides can also be arranged through the agencies at an additional cost. You can expect to pay anything from $1500 to $7000 per night for a luxury villa. It's a good idea to get together a large group and rent one of these villas. In addition to splitting costs, you may then also be able to benefit from the family and group discounts that are offered by many agencies.
