The Allegro Cozumel Hotel
The Allegro Cozumel, like the Iberostar, is a village-style all-inclusive resort. It's in a very good location, situated on a large beach with white sands and plenty of palm trees. The hotel is just five minutes from the well-known Palancar Reef, where divers will find plenty of underwater life to entertain them.
The Allegro Cozumel has three restaurants and a sports bar as well as a poolside snack bar and a swim-up bar. The rooms are located in Polynesian-style villas with thatched roofs, eight rooms to a two-storey villa. There are 300 rooms in total. The rooms come in two categories: Superior and Superior Premium. Superior rooms have either one king bed or two double beds. They have views of either the sea, the pool, or the gardens. Each room has a balcony and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, as well as individually controlled air-conditioning and satellite TV. Superior Premium rooms have the same facilities as Superior rooms, but they are located closer to the pool and the beach. The Allegro used to have a reputation for having rather plain rooms compared to the ostentatious luxury of others, but a 2005 revamp means that this is no longer true.
Prices vary depending on the season, but expect to pay between $130 and $160 per person per room for two people sharing. Prices usually include unlimited food and drinks.
