You can use Malta Direct to book either an all-inclusive holiday or just for booking flights. Unlike many of the budget airlines, flights with Malta Direct have no hidden extras, all airport taxes and on-board meals are included in the price you pay; they even include a complimentary 10% discount voucher for use at the Malta International Airport Arrivals shop. In addition to this, an all-inclusive holiday includes a grocery starter pack for those in self-catering accommodation, a pocket guidebook and free entry to a Maltese tourist attraction.
Malta Direct has a number of special offers, especially through the quieter winter months when tourist travel is generally slow. Single parents willing to share a room with their child are entitled to reductions, as are senior citizens. Some hotels in the brochure offer free child places though availability is limited so you'll need to book early to take advantage of this. Customers who travel repeatedly with Malta Direct will be rewarded via their loyalty scheme, with added bonuses at some points in the year. Their 'early savers' scheme gives you money off and a complimentary harbour cruise if you book early.
Malta Direct flies only from the UK. Manchester Airport, London Gatwick and Heathrow have the most number of chartered flights to the island, with 7 or 14 night trips leaving on most days of the week. Other smaller airports such as Birmingham and Bristol have only one or two weekly flights, and these tend to be at rather anti-social hours. The cost of the flights changes greatly throughout the year and with the time of booking. If you're organised enough to book in advance or can travel outside the peak season, all areas of your holiday will be cheaper.
