The Coastline Hotel stands alone, ensuring commanding views of the picturesque valley below and countryside behind; however although it is set slightly apart, it is only a short walk to the busy strip of St Paul's Bay and Bugibba, Malta's busiest tourist resort.
The Coastline Hotel is a member of the Island Hotel's Group and as such, quickly set itself up as one of the most sought after properties on Malta. It received rapid acclamation after it's opening in 1994 and became the first hotel ever to receive the Thomson Gold Award from the reputable British holiday company within six months of opening. The tourist resort of Bugibba blends almost seamlessly into Qawra and Salina Bay. Though this too has the package tourist in mind, it is a little more up-market than its noisy neighbour and the Coastline Hotel is one of the top-range hotels in the area. The hotel is completely two-dimensional with the balconies in half of the 208 rooms overlooking the picturesque bay to the front of the hotel and the other half overlooking the countryside to the back.
The Coastline's terraced pools are one of their high points. The different pools mean the more active guests can swim some lengths, youngsters can play safely in the children's pool, and the rest can merely lie back, relax and soak up some Mediterranean sun. The Coastline also has a well-equipped gym with attendants on hand to assist guests, and a number of tennis courts. Those wanting something less rigorous can stroll through the well-manicured gardens and enjoy the view.
