All guests at the hotel stay on all-inclusive deals which provide a package of three main buffet meals, plus snacks and drinks between 10.30am and 6.15pm. The food gets very good reviews, which is always an impressive feat for an all-inclusive hotel lacking the financial incentive to pull out all the culinary stops. Packed lunches are available if you're leaving the site during the day, but food is generally served in the restaurant or the snack bar.
There are 264 rooms, all with air-conditioning, balconies, televisions, telephones and central heating for the winter months. Rooms are either triples or twins and the hotel is as suitable for families as for singles hoping to enjoy Magaluf's party scene.
There is a great deal happening in the Hotel Barracuda Magaluf both day and night. The swimming pool has a lifeguard and is consequently very relaxing for parents. And since it is not the biggest, you may decide to make use of the one in the Marina Pax (the sister hotel) next door, which is bigger and gets more sun. The Barracuda has an all-weather tennis court, and its central location means that the vast array of activities, sporting and otherwise, which Magaluf serves up for its visitors, is within easy reach.
The hotel is geared towards ensuring a fun time for children. It provides specific children's activities arranged on a daily basis and there is a 50 per cent discount on prices for youngsters aged between three and twelve. Children's menus and high-chairs make meal times that bit easier as well.
For adults, the entertainments in the evening can be a bit hit-and-miss, but that will always the way in hotels such as this.
