Cheap Las Vegas Show Ticket - Finding Them

Getting tickets to a Las Vegas show is easy, but finding the best deal is a little more work. There are a number of things you can do to help maximise your chances of securing the cheapest tickets for a show, if you follow our simple advice.

Firstly, carefully examine your Las Vegas itinerary. Pay attention to the days of the week you will actually be in town – it is far easier to buy tickets for a midweek show than at the weekend, when demand is far higher. Think about whether you would prefer to see a musical act, concert, comedy act, magic or variety show. To help you do this, read reviews and ask people’s advice before purchasing any tickets. When you are clear exactly what you are after, it’s time to start shopping around for the best deal.

The ideal place to start is with the hotel you are booked in to. Call the concierge to find out whether any special deals are in place for hotel guests – many hotels are affiliated with other hotels, so this doesn’t necessarily mean you are restricted to the show that is based at your accommodation. For example, Treasure Island, Bellagio, Golden Nugget and Mirage are all owned by the same company. Some hotels offer package deals that include the show tickets with the room, and possibly meals. This can be excellent value, but may restrict which shows are available for you to see.

The Internet offers endless possibilities for finding cheap show tickets. There are many sites dedicated to providing Las Vegas show tickets, so browse through them until you find a deal which matches your criteria. However, you will need to be realistic about what tickets are available at slashed prices. For example, ‘O’ by Cirque du Soliel is in very high demand, and it is almost impossible to find tickets to this show discounted. If you book your tickets using your credit card, don’t forget to note your confirmation number and to have your card and ID with you when you collect the tickets in Vegas.

There are some other, less reliable ways of scoring cheap show tickets for yourself – if you are prepared to take a bit of a risk. There are a certain number of tickets kept by the casinos to give out as ‘comp’ gifts to lucky guests. If you are a big gambler, and the pit boss is watching, you could cheekily ask for some of these tickets, but don’t bet on getting them! Less risky than this strategy is taking advantage of tickets offered by touts in Las Vegas. Be aware that you may not get to see the exact show you want, at the precise time you would like to see it.
