Rainfall
Lanai is the most secluded of the Hawaiian Islands and falls directly in the rain- shadow of is sister island Maui, which greatly affects Lanai weather conditions. Rainfall only ever really occurs in the first three or four months of the year, making Lanai one of the driest of the islands, thus accounting for its sun-baked colour. Lanai Weather conditions ever really see continuous showers being delivered to this little island.

Lanai's weather conditions with regard to temperature are quite stable throughout the course of the whole year, averaging between 80 and 90ºF in the summer and only falling no lower than about 54ºF in the winter months. Lanai City Weather:
The city is situated above the beaches and agricultural fields, in the centre of the little island at 1,650 feet above sea level - its raised position therefore makes it cooler temperate place to be during the scorching summer temperatures. The ancient Cook Island pines that surround and shade the town add to this effect. Weather conditions with regard to rainfall - the city only receives at most 6 inches in the summer.
Beach Conditions
The weather at Lanai's beaches are generally very dry and are on average about ten degrees warmer than the main city. Lots of sunshine and beautiful tanning opportunities are definitely on the table. The island's beach areas receive very little rainfall and are generally about 10 degrees warmer than Lanai City. Visitors to the island can usually count on lots of sun. The beaches of the south (leeward) coast are particularly dry and hot during summer - such as experienced at the Manele Bay/Harbor.
