The Manele Bay Hotel Lanai

The Manele Bay Hotel is located amongst Lanai's characteristic red lava cliffs, terraced down a hillside near the majestic and breathtaking Hulopoe Beach, which has been given the title " America's most beautiful shore." The Manele Bay Hotel is therefore in a prime position for guests to experience the marine preserve home to some of nature's most beautiful animals.

The resort itself has a distinct Mediterranean/Asian flair to its design with its terra-cotta based tones, double-hip roofs and bow-front railings, all the while surrounded by native island fauna and flora.

In total this luxury resort in Lanai has 224 rooms and 26 suites. They are larger than those you would find in your average hotel, are outfitted with generously sized marble baths, have their own private balcony and are kitted out with only original artwork. For those who are willing to pay more, there are suites that come with a full time butler. The prices per night of the rooms start quite high for the Garden Rooms and can go up all the way to the thousands for the Presidential Suite.

To give you just an idea of how popular this hotel is below is a list of The Manele Bay Hotel's most recent awards:

Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards (November 2003)
"Top 20 Pacific Rim Resorts" #5

Travel & Leisure
"The World's Best Awards" #18 Overall Ranking in Hawaii

The Hotel is surrounded by five lush "themed" gardens that stem from Hawaiian to bromeliad. If the gardens are not impressive enough the hotel also has its own golf course which was designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus and is named "The Challenge." Composed of vivid terrain, dramatic gorges and water hazards that incorporate the Pacific Ocean and natural beauty of Lanai's outdoors this course gives players a target-style game while at the same time enveloping them in sea views and natural outdoor beauty of Lanai.

With regards to activities guests can enjoy a day at the spa, play a game of tennis, go on a four-wheel-drive excursion, do some snorkeling, take in a spot of clay target shooting, charter a luxury sport fishing boat - The Manele Bay holds limitless possibilities! Why not then come back and relax by the pool before sampling the gourmet food from some of the best restaurants on the island.
