Ferry to Lanai from Maui
The Maui Lanai ferry that sails between these two island paradises is run by a company called Expeditions. Reliable and efficient, Expeditions has been channeling people to and from the different islands for well over a decade now. Guests aboard the ferry often comment on just how enjoyable the one hour ride is - with breathtaking sea views of the other islands (Molokai, Kahoolawe and on a clear day the Big Island) and those who are lucky to travel the ferry between the months of January and April will be able catch a glimpse of the Humpback whales that flock to the Auau Channel.

The ferry ride takes on average about an hour and runs between the Lahaina Harbor and Manele Harbor. Please be assured that all sea going vessels have been coast guard certified.

Prices vary between adults and children, and return trips work out to be cheaper than booking single trips.
There are a few points that should be noted regarding this service. Please make a point of noting these.
Any cancellations need to be given 2 days (48 hours) before the pre-booked time in order to get a complete refund. Failure to do this will still result in a full charge.
- Bookings need to be made - it is not a first come first served service. For the reservations to be made potential passengers need to provide their full first and last names, this applies also to any children or toddlers being booked in.
- There is a check in time for the service - at present this is set at half an hour (30 minutes) before the vessel is scheduled to leave the harbor. Even with reservations, this service does not accommodate late passengers i.e. it will not wait.
- The Lahaina Harbor in Maui is located opposite the Pioneer Inn Hotel which is on Front Street.
- There are taxi and shuttle services available for day visitors and cost between $5 and $10 per passenger. All ferries that come into the harbor are met by a host of transportation services.
