Safari in Tanzania - True Experience of Africa
An African safari can truly be both an exciting and a rewarding experince. What many people fail to remember however, is that in order to get a true taste of Africa, one should experience not only the wildlife, but also the culture of a country. There are a number of towns within Tanzania which provide for fantastic overnight stops. These include the economic capital, Dar es Salaam, the political capital, Dodoma, the coastal town of Tanga, and the port of Kigoma. The coffee trading town of Moshi, situated at the base of Kilimanjaro is a gateway both the Marangu and Ngoma Falls and is therefore also definitely worth a visit.

A trip to Tanzania would not be complete without a rendezvous of the Spice Islands of Zanzibar. Encompassing the main island of Unguja, as well as smaller islands such as Pemba, Chumbe and Mnemba, Zanzibar is an exotic blend of Arabia and Africa. Activities off the islands include sailing, swimming and fishing.
The reefs off Chumbe and Mneba in particular are a scuba diver's paradise, whilst historical sites on the mainland itself include the ancient Stone Town, the Sultan's Palace, and underground ' Slave Caves.' Indeed as one meanders across the white sands, the African sun up ahead and the scent of vanilla and cloves filling the air, it is difficult to believe that a more beautiful place could possibly exist on earth.
