"The Kauai Beach Villas" are located in a self-contained complex on the Royal Coconut Coast next to Nukolii Beach. The 150 units on this resort are owned and managed by different agents. This means that the quality of accommodation, services available and rental rate tend to vary from unit to unit. There are eight buildings labeled A to H. Buildings G and H are sited on the oceanfront, while buildings A and B are a little more further away and require a small walk to get to ocean.

All of the units of the are lucky enough to be located a stones throw away from the Radisson Kauai Resort and guests are even luckier still to have access to the Radisson's swimming pool. The beach villas do have their own smaller pool with an attached spa - just make your way round to buildings A-C and you should spot it without a problem. Golf enthusiasts are also in for a treat as the complex has the Wailua Municipal Golf Course as its neighbor - guests have even remarked on coming across golf balls that have strayed onto the beach its that close. There are also facilities available to keep the other keen sportsmen occupied, such as the four night/day tennis courts and the various popular island water sports. After an active day in the sun, the complex's barbeque areas provide the perfect place to wind down and enjoy some of the world's best sunsets.
The site of this development, The Coconut Coast, is on Kauai's east coast, and is so-called because it used to be a coconut plantation. This area is about midway between the sunny beaches of the south coast and the many attractions of the north shore making it a good base from which to explore the island. It is close to the island's main airport at Lihue, making it a convenient place for visitors to stay when they first arrive. Its proximity to the airport also means visitors stand a greater chance of going for a ride on one of Kauai's helicopter tours. Unfortunately the beach is not safe for swimming but it is usually deserted making it ideal for those who relish a bit of privacy. The Coconut Coast is the most populated part of Kauai and has access to some great shopping and dining.
The rooms at "Kauai Beach Villas" include facilities such as TV, VCR, music system, radio, air conditioning, fully kitted out kitchen, iron and ironing board, bathroom with bath and shower, telephone, maid service and ceiling fan. Each unit also has its own private lanai, which is covered and has its own seating. On the whole buildings G and H seem to be the most popular, mainly because of their better views.
Most agents will require a minimum stay of three days, and some may expect you to pay for your entire stay in advance. Some agents give a rate reduction for stays that are a week or longer. The "extras" you get seem to vary from agency to agency with some providing laundry facilities, a car rental service, activity programs, internet access, and some even a safe and added security features. If you enjoy your stay at "The Villas" so much that you want to come back, you may want to consider buying a timeshare.
