Why we label with ICRA
On recently including a "notes" (a blog) section on this site, which allows users to post comments, we decided to moderate all posts before they were published. Within 4 weeks we were receiving thousands of undesirable, unrelated posts which are not only offensive, but would be of great concern to a child's welfare had they had access to them - they were all deleted before being published. We have now obviously decided to always moderate posts because of this threat along with adding what security we have been able to include on this section of this site. This resulted in also joining the ICRA as an associate member and labeling all the sites we manage. This site was developed to provide independent information on the most pressing health and social issues. Until recently this site was not labeled and although the site is helpful and useful, parts of the content may be inappropriate for minors - the site has now been labeled accordingly.
