Considering that Larnaca is Cyprus’ main aviation gateway it’s hardly surprising that it has a good spread of hotels. Besides its easy-going attitude the town of Larnaca has little to offer tourists and the majority of visitors head for the bigger resorts further along the coast. However, recent years have seen a number of upmarket hotel complexes spring up around the village of Voroklini (just five kilometres outside Larnaca). Visitors hoping to stay in the city centre shouldn’t have any trouble finding a room, but shouldn’t expect much in the way of ‘creature comforts’.
