Croatia Holidays - Weekend City Breaks
The Croatian holiday market is booming, and there’s lots of choice for everyone, whether you’re a couple planning a quiet, romantic, weekend city break or a family looking for a fun-packed two-week holiday by the beach.
The peak tourist period in Croatia runs from Easter until September, with July and August being the busiest (and most expensive) months. If you are hoping to find a cheap holiday deal, your best bet is to plan your trip outside of this period and, most importantly, you’ll need to be flexible.
The majority of holidaymakers want to travel at the weekend and at convenient times, which means that those of you who are a little more flexible when it comes to flight times and dates will always be rewarded with the best prices. For example, if you can travel on a Tuesday morning at 5am and comes back on a Wednesday night at 11pm, you’re bound to get a better deal than somebody who can only fly on a Saturday between 11am and 4pm.
No matter what your taste or budget, a holiday in Croatia is bound to meet your requirements, and it will most likely exceed them, too! All you need to do is a little research to make sure you are heading to the right town, city or resort, and that you have chosen the right kind of accommodation to suit your needs.
Our resort pages should equip you with all the information you need to help you decide on the right holiday destination, and our accommodation pages will help you and your travel companions choose where to stay, whether it be a luxury hotel or a tent or caravan on one of the country’s many camp sites.
When you have a good idea of when you’d like to travel, where you want to go, where you’d like to stay, and the kind of budget you’d like to spend, the next step is to actually book your holiday. These days, most of the major holiday companies and flight operators have good websites with straightforward booking facilities, and many independent hotels can now also be booked online, whether through their own private website or through an internet travel sites. If, however, you would rather deal with someone face to face, you can of course just pop into your local travel agents to see what deals they have on offer.
Once you’re all booked and packed, there’s only one thing left to do…have a brilliant holiday!
