The majority of UK airline carriers fly to Croatia, as do a growing number of budget airlines like Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air. For more information on budget airlines, have a look at our cheap flights page.

The country’s main airline is Croatia Airlines, which was established in 1989, and was originally called Zagal (Zagreb Airlines). Its very first aeroplane was registered on 7th August 1989. The following year, the company changed its name to Croatia Airlines, following the country’s democratic elections.

Over the years, the airline has increased both its fleet and its network of destinations, and currently offers both international and domestic services.

UK passengers can fly to Croatia from three UK airports: London, Manchester and Nottingham.

The airline’s head office is based in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city.
