Guanacaste Real Estate Costa Rica
The open plains of Guanacaste province are home to Costa Rica’s cattle industry.
At the same time, the Costa Rican government is promoting the area for tourism development and they have upgraded the Liberia airport to accommodate international flights. Look at Guanacaste for a quiet retirement or vacation home at still-reasonable prices. US retirees have been gravitating to Flamingo Beach; Canadians have concentrated in Potrero; and Europeans have been looking mostly in the Grande and Tamarindo areas.
As with other areas of Costa Rica, Guanacaste real estate gives you easy access to lush national parks and wildlife preserves as well as adventure and excursion activities.
Because Guanacaste is large and sparsely populated, prices have not risen as dramatically as in some other areas. Desirable beachfront properties, of course, are not cheap; but there are still ample opportunities here.
