Travel to the continent needn’t be expensive. By booking in advance and choosing your departure times carefully it’s easy to pick up cheap Eurostar tickets. Keep a close eye on their website and you’ll be able to cash-in on frequent seasonal promotions to more than 100 destinations across Europe.

To guarantee cheap Eurostar tickets you’ll need to book at least three months in advance; whereupon you can expect substantial discounts. If you’re travelling at short notice you’ll find the cheapest tickets are available for off-peak passengers. Typically this means leaving early in the morning (05:00-07:00) or late in the evening (after 19:00). Similarly it’s best to avoid travel at weekends and on national holidays.

Cheap Eurostar tickets are also available if you fall into any of the following categories: Senior (aged over 60), Youth (aged under 26) and Child (aged 4-11). However, there are a limited number of discounted seats on each train; so early booking is strongly recommended. Two day breaks start form as little as £150 per person and include well-appointed hotel accommodation (usually with a minimum of three stars). Again; the best deals are available to those who can book the furthest in advance.

Eurostar operates a loyalty programme called Frequent Traveller, whereby regular passengers can expect a number of perks (including accelerated check-in-times and commission-free currency exchange) and earn points. Once you’ve got enough points they can be redeemed for Eurostar tickets, gifts, or money-off hotels and attractions in cities served by the rail link. Eurostar’s Frequent Traveller scheme is one of the slickest in the business and makes real financial sense for habitual customers.

Cheap Eurostar tickets are also available to anyone making a group booking, either as a school party or a business. Independent travel agents also block-book seats to sell as cheap packages, so it’s worth having a good rummage through cyberspace to see what deals you can find.
