Leeds Bradford Airport Parking - Short Stay and Long Stay
Leeds Bradford airport began life as Yeadon Aerodrome in 1931 and has since expanded to become one of the UK's leading regional airports. The airport is more or less equidistant between the two Yorkshire cities of Leeds and Bradford and is easily reached by the M1 and M62 motorways. Anyone travelling by train should alight at Leeds station and catch the Airlink bus. Although the distance to the airport is just 11 miles; passengers should leave at least 40 minutes to be on the safe side.

LEEDS AIRPORT MAP
For an airport of such diminutive stature Leeds Bradford has plenty of parking. In fact, with more than 600 short stay parking spaces and close to 2000 spaces in the long stay car park; it's one of the few airports in the UK where you don't have to book in advance. However, pre-booking is still recommended; especially for anyone wanting to take advantage of discounted off-airport parking rates.
Once you arrive at Leeds Bradford airport you'll find the long and short stay car parks well signposted. They both work by taking a ticket at the barrier and settling up at the payment machines (located inside the airport buildings) before you exit. It's possible to leave you vehicle in the short stay car park for as long as you choose, but after 48-hours it makes shrewder financial sense to book into the long stay car park. Because the long stay car park is further form the terminal buildings you have to finish the journey on one of the courtesy shuttle buses, which operate between 6am and 10pm.
Leeds Bradford airport also has a number of highly competitive off-site car parks including:
Sentinel Security Car Park (Coney Park, Harrogate Road) enjoys affiliation with the airport and is located just half a mile form the terminal buildings. There's a minimum three day charge and they offer 'extras' such as valet parking and a car washing service. Airport transfers take less than five minutes and are timed to meet inbound flights. Number of spaces: 800.
Airport Garage Services: On paper there isn't much between AGS and Sentinel Security: they share virtually the same address, a similar parking capacity (although AGS is marginally bigger) and comparable transfer arrangements. The only real difference is in price, but as they constantly fluctuate it's best to get an up to the minute quote before deciding which one to go for.
All of Leeds Bradford airport's car parks take security very seriously, but to make your vehicle less of a target remember to keep any left luggage out of sight. It's also worth having a good look on the company website to make sure they have at least the minimum security measures in place (such as: robust fencing, round the clock CCTV surveillance and frequent patrols).
