Edinburgh handles 7.5 million passengers each year and is the second busiest airport in Scotland after Glasgow. Edinburgh airport enjoys a variety transport links to the city centre (12 km to the east) and is well-placed to access Scotland's network of roads. In fact, Edinburgh airport more or less marks the start of the M8 (exit at Junction 1 or 2) and the M9 (Junction 1).
