Belfast airport is located 18 miles north-west of the city centre and enjoys good access via road and rail. If you're travelling by car from the north follow the M2 motorway as far as junction 5 then join the A57, if you're driving from the south use the M1 to access the A26.Car parking at Belfast airport:
Belfast has a wide variety of different parking options, so it shouldn't take long to find something that's tailored to your specific needs and budget. Booking airport parking is unlikely to be anywhere near the top of your holiday To Do list, but if you consider that a few moments spent shopping around on the Internet could save you as much as 50% - then it's well worth the effort. Belfast International airport offers the following parking options:
Short Stay Parking: Belfast airport's short stay parking is primarily designed for those wanting to drop someone off or pick-up an arrival. Consequently you'll get change from a pound coin as long as you don't stay for more than fifteen minutes. However, if you want to park for more than 30 minutes it's cheaper to make your way to the Main Stay car park. Note that disabled travellers get special discounted rates.
Main Stay Parking: Ideal for anyone planning a short break or business trip up to three days. The main stay car park is conveniently located a couple of minutes on foot from the terminal. Tickets can be obtained at the entrance barrier or bought in advance. There's no minimum stay, although after two hours you must pay for a full day.
Long Stay Parking: Belfast International Airport's affiliated long stay car park is operated by BCP and is situated 'on site' within walking distance of the airport buildings. Pre-booking is advised, but not essential. There is a minimum say of four days.
Long stay competition comes from Cosmo parking (181 Airport Road). Cosmo boasts 650 competitively priced parking spaces with a minimum stay of one day. They run frequent shuttle buses from the car park to the terminal; which take a matter of minutes.
While all of Belfast's airport car parks pride themselves on vehicle security; it's a good idea to know exactly what you are getting before you sign on the dotted line. The following should (but don't always) come as standard: regular foot patrols by trained professionals, secure fencing and gating, vehicle insurance cover (which ought to be included in the price) and 24/7 closed circuit television surveillance. Remember that your holiday will quickly go down the pan if you return to find that someone has been tampering with your vehicle.
