Thanks to the ongoing aviation boom Dublin airport continues to experience unprecedented growth. Each month new destinations are added to the departures board and it seems that the public's appetite for 'no-frills' seats is limitless. However, as we all know, the cheapest seats on budget airlines tend to leave in the small hours of the morning; which can make getting to the airport (on time) a problem.

Booking a night in a hotel near the airport is one solution and luckily Dublin has a good few to choose from. Many of Dublin's airport hotels also offer free (or discounted) parking, which often works out chseaper than leaving your vehicle in one of the official 'on-site' airport car parks.
Because of Dublin airport's proximity to the city centre (six miles to the south) another option is to spend the night in the capital. A taxi from the airport costs €18 - €25 alternatively you can catch the Aircoach shuttle service (which operates around the clock) for approximately €6.

Use of a nearby gym/ swimming pool complex is included and the hotel has a choice of two restaurants and a traditional Irish pub.
